Trade Brodie + prospects for top 6 help. Mark Stone from Ottawa would be nice.

It would be such a waste to trade him now. I know some dont like how he was in the playoffs last year, big part was due to the team trying to get more aggressive, if he would have played his same game, and did not change a thing i believe he would have been much better. This year he has improved alot, as well i see him getting better every yea in the future. Now Brodie im game to trade, he high risk high reward. And yet under this new couch he may play like he did a few years ago so still on fence with him.

These Dougie rumors are laughable, obviously teams will be calling but Brad and even Burke have said before hes not going anywhere. The package to get him would probably be bigger then Karlssons. Dougies only 25 and his contract is steller. A dman with his skill signing a contract now would be over 7 mil easily. Could even argue it would be around the same as Karlsson.

Brodies time is up, too soft for the west. I could see maybe buffalo taking a run at brodie to shore up the d with Dahlin and ristoleinen. Maybe brodie, bennett + prospect for Oreilly and a mid round pick?

Jesus, I agreed with the first of your post until you did your trade proposal. Are you crazy????? Brodie averaged over 22 minutes a game last year & had over 30 points. RoR called out & slammed his club for there losing culture. Seriously, you want to give a 21 year old 4th overall that hasn't had his break out yet, a top3-4 D on a great contract & a prospect for RoR & "mid" round pick. Let's keep Tre as GM me thinks.
If the price is more than Brodie & a prospect like Shinkaruk, I would move on.

100% agree. Dougie’s younger, on a better contract for a much longer term and his #’s are just as good and getting better every year.
They shouldn’t even think about trading him. But if they did, the package would have to be a young top 6 scoring RW, a higher 1st, a top prospect and another piece like a secondary but higher rated prospect and/ another high pick, or perhaps a replacement young D who’s not yet as good as Dougie.
Non Flames will laugh at this but do some research. What would you give up for Karlsson. Then compare the #’s between the 2 and consider the rest of what I said.

I think maybe Kylington or Fox and Shinkaruk would be the right price for O'Reilly.

The only way trading Hamilton makes sense is if they're getting someone like Marner back, and I highly doubt Toronto would be interested in that.

First of all Brodie isnt as solid as everyone makes him out to be. Ya he can skate but hes also week on pucks and isnt the best at first passes. Everyone on Buffalo at some point in the season bashed the club this season, even eichel who seems to do it monthly. You dont think flames players would be doing the same with a season like that? Bennett has had ample opportunities to break out but hasnt, he needs a change and who cares if he was 4th overall, yakupov was a first over all and hes junk.

Also Oreilly had a ridiculous faceoff percentage and Peters said in his interview that he values faceoffs as the biggest part of each shift.

I even remember very clearly Oreilly winning the draw in overtime in calgary and eichel putting it home. Players like that are huge come playoff time.

Turning point of the season, fracking Glughead decided Brouwer should stay out and take that draw! Team quit after that.

I do think he should be a target but I sure wouldn't give all that for him. 7.5 mill cap hit for 5 more years with a guy that wants out of Buffalo, it's a problem for Buffalo & not a reason to overpay like Ottawa did for Duchesne.

I think Buffalo would want to upgrade their D even though they will get Dahlin. Especially if they don't win the Carlsson sweepstakes. If they take Kylington & Shinkaruk for RoR I would be all over that so quick heads would spin
